Here comes the bride...

Yesterday, Kelly hosted Show Us Your Life - The Wedding Dress Edition. I decided to join in, though I'm a day late. :) I have loved going back through our wedding pictures. We were 19, had very little money to spend, but when I go back to the pictures...they make me laugh and smile and fall in love with my man all over again!

Here are just a few of our special day.

The dress I chose was very appropriate for a 19 year old bride...cap sleeves, pearls on the bodice, big bow on the rear. (LOL)

Look at that tiny waist!! Maybe after little miss gets here, I can get back to my skinny-size. :)


This was back in 1996 when they still threw bird seed at you. Bubbles hadn't come along yet.


Since we didn't have a lot of money to spend on the wedding, we didn't have a professional photographer. I think my Uncle actually snapped this one. It's still my fave. Eventually I'm going to take it to a professional studio and have them fix the shading of the pic...I guess it was from the glare off the car window.


I was showing Alex these pics and said, we were so young, skinny...and he piped up and said, "and stupid!" (LOL) So true. The past 13 years have been quite a trip, but I wouldn't change a thing.

    I love your pictures! I plan on scanning some of ours... maybe around our anniversary I'll get to it!
    Hope you like the jam... and glad I was finally able to give YOU something.
    The detergent is working out well. I've had some stains, but I have no idea if it is the detergent. My kids get grungy on a regular basis. I am going to add some oxyclean type stuff to it to see if that helps.

    Your so beautiful!!! Also, I love the bird seed pic. We werent allowed to have anything like that at our venue. Im still a little grumpy about it!

    Oh, how I remember the excitement of that day - the 5 layer cake that turned out to be only 3! Miss Becky "fixing" it with fresh roses - the rain, that only made the candles shine more beautifully. You two were a beautiful couple. How far God has brought you and how His beauty shines in you more every day. I am blessed to be your momma.
