It has been a good week/weekend. My Mom was in town to speak at a women's event, so she stayed with us. She hasn't seen Amelia (other than in pics and video that I send her daily!) in quite some time. I took this video of them doing patty-cake together. :)
I took Amelia to her 9 month well visit and she is now 21 lbs - 11 ounces and is 28.25 inches long. She fell between the 80%-90% on weight and height. I'm always surprised at how much she has grown at each visit! She was able to stop her antibiotic after 7 days, since the ear infection was gone. That's a good thing...no more upset tummy!! All we have to get rid of now is the runny nose. I asked her doctor about when we should take away Amelia's pacifier. She suggested starting to give it to her only at bedtime and go from there. I'm thinking we will try this when Amelia is a year old. Or a little closer to a year anyway. :) She doesn't need it all day, but when she gets upset she definitely wants it.
Speaking of pacifiers. I was dressing Amelia for bed the other night and she was fighting me and rolling around all over the place. I had already turned the lights out and was practically dressing her in the dark. I put her jammies on and started rocking her to sleep. She quickly fell asleep, but woke up ALL.NIGHT.LONG. I would go into her room, give her a pacifier, and roll her over on her tummy or side (how she usually likes to sleep). She would go back to sleep again, but it felt like we did this all night long. She finally wakes for good at 6am, so I get her up and start to unbutton her pajamas to change her diaper. And what did I find? A pacifier inside of her jammies!! That poor baby had to try and sleep on a hard paci all night long! I felt terrible! My brother told me it was her own little Princess and the Pea story, but rather The Princess and the Pacifier. HAHA! It taught me to never dress her in the dark again. (LOL)
We had breakfast at Mimi's with Mom, Joy, Gerry, Cody & Pryce over the weekend. Amelia did really well. We were there for two hours and she sat in her highchair, eating, playing with toys, throwing toys on the floor, and people watching the entire time. :)
Here she is getting some lovin' from Uncle Gerry & Aunt Joy.
She has started playing with her baby dolls and it's the cutest thing. Here's a video of her giving her baby kisses. :)
I hope you've had a wonderful weekend. We have a busy week ahead! How about you?
Love to all,

That is so funny about the pacifier in her jammies!!!! :) I do the same thing with my kiddos and their paci's---limit them to bedtime and naptime at about 1 year----AK has done fine with that! Hope you have a good week and that your sickness is gone for good!

Seriously, she is just so cute!! I love how girls who are little babies themselves take care of their own baby dolls already. So sweet! And I love the paci in the diaper-so funny! Glad she's feeling better!
princess and the pacifier- hahaha! HILARIOUS! A's such a cutie!
They are so sweet playing with their babies aren't they! That's how we took the pacifier away from Laila and it was no big deal. Miss you guys, hope we see you soon!
Hey You!! Thanks so much for your canvas order. I will send it asap. I am supposed to get them back from the screen printer on Thursday. I am also going to send you other "pretties". It's a surprise!! Leslie

Oh bless her heart! The Princess and the pacifier!
Cxx
My kids are 14, 12, and 10 and two out of the three used a pacifier. Whatever you decide, just remember no one should have to justify their feelings. What I am trying to say is that if her pacifier helps to soothe her when she's tired, sick, or sad, then who are we to tell her she doesn't need it. Trust me, she is not going to go to school with it. Just let her know when you feel she understands that she can have her pacifier when she needs that security, but that she doesnt need to have it with her at all times. Also, I used to leave about 5 or 6 of them in my sons crib at night so if he lost one he would just feel around for another. Then I didnt have to go and put it in his mouth every time he woke up. I love your blog. Your daughter is such a precious little girl.
She is the most precious thing! I loved the videos and seeing her sweet face. I miss you, friend!
Hey little lady- just checking in on you. You hadn't posted in a while, and I was worried about you. Thinking of you and your little doll.
