Vertigo

I've been away from the blog for a few days. I woke up on Saturday morning with a pretty bad case of vertigo. I've never experienced this before...not fun. I was holding onto furniture, walls, people, just to get from room to room. I had to be in bed most of the time. Thankfully, it's gone now and the room isn't spinning.

The past couple of days have been very emotional/trying for me - having nothing to do with the vertigo. I believe God always has something to teach me in a difficult situation and I'm trying very hard to do just that - to get what He's trying to teach me. I'm thankful that my parents were in town for the past two days. I honestly didn't want them to leave today. Their advice/wisdom is priceless. I've needed it. It's also nice to just have your Daddy & Momma hold you while you cry...no matter how old you get. Alex loves having them here too. I had to get up at 1am and tell him and my Daddy to quit talking and go to bed! :)

Speaking of my parents, we had their birthday dinner while they were in town. Today is my Daddy's actual birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!! Momma's birthday is next week, so we went ahead and celebrated both. I love you both so very much!!

Sorry for the short post. I haven't spent a lot of time on the computer over the past few days. I have updates on the nursery to post...I'll do that soon.

Love,

Bless your heart, Jill! That does not sound like fun, but I'm glad that you are feeling better now.

I'm so sorry! I've had vertigo come and go. I don't think I've had it when pregnant, though I was nauseous more with E than with any other and wondered if vertigo played a part. It was worse before I had him than any other time... though I doubt it is gone. It just happens.
I'm glad you were able to get some extra help. I saw a big ol crew over there, guess that was the birthday dinner :)

Vertigo is AWFUL! I'm currently under treatment for it and I don't like it at ALL and feel for anybody experiencing it. Hugs to you and I'm praying that it doesn't return.
I hope you feel better emotionally. I don't know if it's related to the vertigo or not, but I'm praying for you. Emotional days are no more fun than vertigo. You're such a wonderful woman.

Bless you heart! I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Very glad you are doing better!

BTW, I made those cream cheese mints last night for a shower we are throwing tomorrow. I had trouble "popping" the mints out of the mold and ending up having to freeze them to get them to come out. I was wondering if you had the same trouble and if you had a better trick than freezing. Freezing definitely slowed me down and I wasn't able to get finished last night--considering I just bought one mold!

Thanks for your message chica! And for the tip about the mints!

I think that I'm pressing them down too far. I have "round 2" tonight (got 3/4ths of the way through last night), so I'll try to not press them as hard and see if it works. I think I'm using a mold similar to yours...course, it was the only one left at Michael's. :) I got about 3/4ths of the way done last night and ran out of time because of the freezing.

Regardless, the mints are SUPER yummy and I can't wait to serve them tomorrow! I appreciate you posting the recipe so much!

That worked better! I was literally trying to "pop" them out of the molds and I tried lightly "pulling" them out and that worked too.

Last question--did you let them dry in the refrigerator or out on the counter?

How awful, Jill! I am so glad you are feeling better now. I had a coworker with a bad case of vertigo once and it lasted for her for TWO MONTHS! I was just so sad she went through that.
