All About Amelia - 7 months old!

Amelia, you're 7 months old!!

You weigh 18lbs - 7 ounces and you're 26 3/4" long.

You're wearing size 2 diapers.

You're wearing 9 month clothes.

You're sleeping 10-11 hours at night.

You slept in your crib for the very first time. It was actually an accident. I put you there for a nap, but you stayed asleep through the night and I didn't want to wake you.

You didn't cry that night, but I sure did.

You're eating 8 ounces every 4 hours during the day. You also have baby food once or twice a day.

You like everything we give you. You've had green beans, sweet peas, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, pears, and peaches.

You would lick the bowl clean, if we'd let you!

You sat in a high chair for the first time at one of Mommy's catering jobs. You liked it. We're going to have to buy you one soon!

You're teething, but no teeth yet.

You rode in your stroller like a big girl this month! I usually just click your car seat into the stroller, but your Granny insisted you could do it. Even though your Mommy tried to tell her that you're still a teeny-tiny baby.

You proved Mommy wrong. :)

You love to snuggle and take naps with Mommy & Daddy. Whenever I lay you on Daddy's pillow and walk around to the other side of the bed, you immediately start smiling because you know that I'm going to take a nap with you. :)

Not only do you love to play with your feet. You love to stick them in your mouth.

I say, go for it. You won't be this limber forever. Trust me.

You continue to improve on sitting up by yourself, though we can't walk away and leave you just yet.

When on your belly, you push up on your arms and raise your rear like you're going to take off. You're rolling all over the place. If there is something you want, you just roll until you get it. :)

I love how when you get really tired, you will laugh at anything and everything. You get that from your Mommy. :)

You're ticklish from head to toe!

You reach for EVERYTHING now.

You love sticking your tongue out. Especially for the camera.

Maybe you're trying to tell me something. (LOL)

You love it when your Daddy is home from work. He gets up with you on the weekends and takes care of you for Mommy. He loves that time with you.

Amelia, I love staying home with you. I love watching you figure things out for the very first time.

I love seeing you smile behind that paci.

I can be feeling down and you immediately lift my spirits.

You're my best-little-girlfriend. :)

You have the sweetest personality.

You just wait for Daddy & Mommy to talk to you, so you can flash a smile.

We love you, baby girl.

You're a dream come true.

Love,
Daddy & Mommy

Amelia at the polls...

We've had a long day! Amelia woke up around 7am. I fed her, I showered, and then we left for a catering job. This week is a full week for our catering business. I really don't have childcare for Amelia, so she's coming with me! We arrived at the kitchen this morning and as long as little miss had a full belly and clean diaper, she was good to go. I would walk her around every so often, but otherwise she sat and watched us cook the entire time! I thank God for Amelia every day, but on days like today, I feel extremely blessed. She is such a laid back baby and it makes taking her places very easy.

After catering, we went to lunch with Joy, Cody, and Pryce. We ran a few errands for upcoming catering jobs and then Amelia and I headed to the polls to vote! We have a good friend that's running for State Representative, so it was important for us to vote today!!

This was Amelia's first time to go with me to vote, so of course I wanted to document it. :)

Here we are casting our ballot!

Voting for our good friend, DJS!!

Amelia getting her I Voted sticker. The volunteers just loved her. :)

I couldn't stop laughing because that sweet lady above kept calling Amelia by the wrong name. She was talking so sweet to her in baby talk and calling her Amanda. If she said Amanda once, she said it a dozen times. (LOL) She was too sweet for me to correct her. It also made me laugh because there is someone who thinks my name is Amanda and every time I see her, she says, "Hi Amanda!!" And I just say, "Hi!!" I don't have the heart to tell her that my name is Jill. And Amanda is a pretty name. :)

It was good day with my girl.

She's always putting a smile on my face. :)

Love to all,

Adventures in Babysitting...

We had a weekend full of babysitting! Friday evening we watched E, the son of one our church friends. Me, Amelia and E curled up on my bed and watched Charlotte's Web. I love that movie. It was a favorite of mine as a little girl, so I bought it for Amelia.

Saturday we had Jackson & Millie! Sara had a wedding, so we were excited to have a full day of lovin' on and playin' with these two. Sara ended up getting in really late, so they stayed the night with us!

These two girls are so cute together. They would hold hands whenever we would lay them beside each other. Best-Friend-Cousins!!

Alex takes pride in his yard work, but hasn't had a free minute to work on the yard or flower bed until this weekend. Jackson wanted to help Uncle Alex with whatever he was doing. :)

So they headed off to Home Depot to buy some new mulch for the flower bed! Alex let Jackson play on the tractors at Home Depot and that was all he would talk about when he got back!

They would work in the flower bed and then stop to play a little football...

And of course, they had to stop for a Sonic break. Jackson had a grape slushy.

They worked so hard and finally completed the flower bed. Jackson had mulch all over him. He was even picking it out of his teeth!? LOL We immediately brought him in and gave him a bath!

After getting a bath, he wanted to rock it out on the drums for a while.

He LOVES the drums!

Joy and the boys came by to hang out with us for a while. The boys really wanted to see Jackson. :) Joy helped me with the girls. They were on the same feeding schedule, which worked well for nap time. I just didn't have enough hands to hold and feed them at the same time, so Joy was a big help!

I kept singing songs with their names in them and they thought that was pretty cool. :)

Sara and the kiddos had to head home EARLY Sunday morning. :( Alex got up with Amelia on Sunday morning and this is what I found when I got up. So sweet!

We had storms come through Sunday evening before leaving for church. How creepy are these clouds!? Luckily, it all passed through fairly quickly and the sun was out by the time church started!

We had a great service at church and then headed to Chili's for a little dinner afterwards. We were all in bed by 10:00pm...we were exhausted! It was a busy weekend, but we had a lot of fun with the kiddos.

I hope you had a fun weekend! This week is full of catering jobs for us, so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to blog...we'll see! :)

Love to all,
