Fun In The Sun!

After church on Sunday, we headed to the lake to spend some time with our family. Alex took Monday off, so we were able to stay Sunday night and all day Monday.

Amelia gave lots of love while we were there.

We played on the water...

This was right before I thought I was going to die! HA! Joy was enjoying every minute of it. :) My throat was so sore the next day. At first, I couldn't figure out why, but finally realized it was from laughing and screaming while tubing! (LOL)

The boys had a good time!

Joy and Cody won for hanging on to the tube for the longest period of time!

I took Amelia down to swim for a little while. She would just kick her feet...she did really well. :)

My Aunt Sandi set up this ball pit for Amelia to play in. She LOVED IT! We're definitely going to be looking for one of these. I think it would make a good 1st birthday present. :)

Amelia loved Kealee. They played together for a long time. Kealee was so sweet with her.

Aunt Joy gave Amelia her first taste of watermelon. She wasn't a fan.

I tried to give her a corn cob to chew on. She wasn't a fan of that either. (LOL)

After a long day, we had the best dinner. My Aunt Sandi grilled steak, chicken, & corn on the cob. We also had some yummy desserts! I made a flag cake for the first time. I think I will be making one of these every year, it was so easy and tasty!

It was a day of fun in the sun!

We love our family.

Amelia on the lake...

I've been meaning to post these pics from Amelia's first time on the lake. There are A LOT of them, so get ready! :)

My Uncle & Aunt invited us to their lake house and we gladly took them up on it!

Alex needed a day of doing absolutely nothing. He has been working so hard and was looking forward to getting away. He got up before everyone else and went fishing. The man loves to fish!

My Grandma Mc joined us and made my favorite breakfast...

Chocolate gravy & biscuits!!

Seriously, the best thing on earth.

Breakfast out on the deck.

Amelia hanging w/Uncle Kev.

After breakfast we put on our swimsuits and headed down to the lake.

We first went out for a ride on the pontoon.

Didn't take long for the baby girl to go to sleep! :)

After awhile it started raining, so we headed back to the house and hung out on the porch...trying to decide what we wanted for lunch.

My Uncle and Aunt are so sweet with Amelia. She's so blessed to have them in her life!

We decided on baked potato pizza for lunch...yum!

Amelia had a teething biscuit for the first time.

Since it was still raining after lunch, we headed upstairs and took a good nap. When we woke up, the rain had stopped, so we headed back down to the lake!

Since we had so much stuff to carry down, this was our ride down to the boat. Amelia would hang on for dear life everytime we would take off!

Amelia helping Uncle Kev drive. Look at that belly! :)

Amelia and Daddy.

I didn't make Amelia wear a life jacket on the pontoon, but once we got on the ski boat, she had to wear it. Here she is with it on for the first time. As you can see, she loved it. (LOL)

Alex & Aunt Sandi.

This was Uncle Kev's first time to ski this season...it was fun to watch him on the water!

After Uncle Kev finished skiing, we decided to let Amelia get in the water.

We weren't sure how she would react...

It was a little cold at first...

But then she gave us a smile!

Her Daddy was so happy that she didn't cry and that she liked it. He wants her to love the water, just like him!

I could just eat her up!

Sitting on the boat with Uncle Kev.

She was so good the entire time. Just when I thought she was going to fuss, she would go to sleep instead!

I love this picture of her sleeping.

We had a great time and we look forward to many more weekends, just like this one. Thank you, Uncle Kev & Aunt Sandi...we love you guys!

A day at the lake...

Yesterday, Amelia and I packed up and headed to the lake to spend the night with my parents. We arrived in time for lunch, so we met them to have some yummy fajitas!

Amelia slept the entire ride. She woke up as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. She was happy to see her Papa & Granny.

Seriously, how sweet are these feet!?

She still has sleepy-eyes in this pic. :) She wouldn't take her eyes off of her Papa!

When we got back to the condo, Amelia hung out with her Papa while he studied for his message on Sunday.

She kept going for Papa's Bible. I pray she grows up to have a love for the Word and hides it in her heart.

After Papa finished studying, Amelia showed him how she can put her toes in her mouth. Such a talented little girl.

I love this look that she's giving her Granny!

After taking a little nap, us girls headed downtown to a couple of places that I like to visit. The Villa is one of them...they have the cutest things!

Amelia enjoyed being outside...we walked quite a bit!

Which was a good thing - because this was our next stop!

They have all sorts of goodies...

I had a fresh squeezed lemonade and bought some white chocolate covered popcorn. YUM!

After walking through a few shoppes downtown, we grabbed some Chick-fil-A for dinner and headed back to the condo. I had Momma take our picture and Amelia was obsessed with sticking her tongue out! She's doing this in a lot of the pics from the past two days.

Then we headed inside, put on some comfy clothes, and watched some old b&w movies.

I was showing Granny what Amelia will look like when she gets more hair. HAHA!

Since Alex wasn't with us, Amelia got to sleep with me. I love that she wakes up with a huge smile on her face!

I made a Starbucks run and then we headed to the balcony to have breakfast. I wish this was our view every morning!

Me and my sweet girl. The last time we were here, Amelia was in my belly! :)

After lunch and a little more shopping, Amelia and I had to say goodbye to Papa, Granny, and the lake. It was such a fun overnight trip!

We love you Papa & Granny!!
