Melt my heart...

This baby girl already has her Daddy wrapped. Seriously...he is in love. :) And I'm even more in love with him, seeing him care for and love on our baby girl. Alex took care of A today and I took a 3 hour nap. SO NICE.

It's Halloween. Alex hates this holiday. I told him that we could turn off the front porch light when the candy is gone. His response, "well the next kid is going to get lucky because I'm giving them the entire bowl." HA! I had a huge bowl of candy and it was gone in no time. Lots of trick-or-treaters this year! My favorite costume to show up on my front porch...a tiny Michael Jackson. He had the white glove and all. So cute! Kids these days crack me up. I had so many kids looking into the bowl of candy, placing their orders. "I'll take a hershey bar, a peppermint patty & a dum-dum." Seriously!? LOL

Anywho, we're now enjoying a quiet evening at home with our baby girl. She's currently laying on her Daddy's chest - watching the Hogs game. :) Life is good.

Love to all,

Jill,
My dad passed away when I was pg the first time. After losing one of the twins and having a son, I had such a strong desire to have a little girl. Maybe it's because I thought I was pg with a little girl....but my husband never understood how much I "needed" to have a little girl for him to have a daddy's little girl. I was daddy's little girl and selfishly wanted to see my husband experience that relationship. A few years later we were blessed with a little princess and the second that little arrived she had her daddy wrapped around her smallest finger...and still does. He understands now, and there is nothing more beautiful than watching them together. I'm thankful that you get to experience that as well. We are so blessed to have such amazing Christ-filled spouses. Yay for the nap.

oh that is sooo sweet!
We had to turn our light out too, though some still knocked. I always turn it off by 9pm anyway (and get ultra irritate when people keep knocking) but it was off a little past 8 this year.
