I'm a list maker. I feel accomplishment in making a list and being able to check things off. :) I decided that we need to make a list of things to buy/do before the baby arrives. When I think of the fact that it's only 4 1/2 months until the babe is here, I start having a slight panic attack. There is so much to do!
My sis, Joy, came over today and we tackled the baby's room, which is currently a guest room. I have A LOT of seasonal decorations that I don't want in the attic or garage, that I've always kept in that closet. So we moved everything out of that closet and placed it in the other guest room closet.
So here's the nursery as of now. Never mind that stuff on the bed...it AND the bed will be gone very soon! I thought as we make changes to the room, I will post pics. Sound good?
As soon as we know who we're decorating for, we can decide on a new paint color!
This armoire is on the opposite wall of the bed...it will stay in the room.
We will use this dresser as the changing table. The mirror will have to go.
And here's the baby's closet. It's mostly filled with books. I have bought some things to decorate with over the years, but it's all for a girl's room, so if it's not a girl, we'll save them for later! :)
The nursery is one of the things that I'm most excited about. I've spent many hours on this bed, praying for God to bless us with a child to share this room with.
Thank you, Lord, for this precious baby.
Love,

so exciting!!! can't wait to see all the things you do, i know you are good at decorating, let me know if you need any help, sewing, painting, etc :)
So excited for you Jill! Love seeing what you are doing with the room! xxx
This post makes me squeal with joy I am so excited! I was exactly the same way....had a huge list and several "small" lists all about the baby! It was SO FUN to get things done and cross them off! I also had my Christmas stuff stored in AK's closet, but that was our only spare room so they had to go to the garage! :( I am praying and hoping that they stay in good condition!
Can't wait for nursery pic updates!
SO EXCITING! Looks like a great sized room, too!
Awww, why do you have to get rid of the mirror? I think it looks fab! Baby would probably love to look at themselves when being changed, too.
so, so exciting!!!
I'm a list maker, too! How nice is it that you already have furniture you'll be able to use? That's awesome. I look forward to seeing the changes in that nursery!
I still vote for pale gray. :)
Or you could just leave the green... that is VERY similar in color to L's nursery walls. I love it! But, of course, that kind of ruins the fun in doing something special just for THE BABY. ;) Decorating the nursery was my absolute favorite part of being pregnant, I think. All those years of thinking about it finally coming to fruition! It was even more fun that I'd imagined. I cannot wait to see pictures.
*hugs*
I also bought things for my kids (mostly books) before we were even pregnant with the first. I always dreamed of being a mother.
I can't wait to see all the changes to the room. It is so exciting getting everything ready for the new little one.
Can't wait to see things as they come together. So exciting!!
Have a great weekend!
Aren't you finding out the sex any day now?? I'm soooo excited for you AND I so can't wait to see this nursery come together!!
Yay! I can't wait to see how you are going to decorate it. I LOVE the armoire and chest so far!
I am not sure if I have ever commented, but I read your blog weekly.
Getting the nursery ready is so exciting! And if you think you are freaked about having 4 months left, wait until you have 5 weeks left!!
Can't wait to see if you will be decorating for a boy or a girl!
hey girl...we got the linus shirt at Target!! when do you find out the sex of your baby??
I don't think I've ever commented on your blog, but the last time I read it, I prayed for you to be blessed with a little one. Then I found it again & you're expecting! I am so excited for you & your hubby and thankful that God has granted you what you asked of Him. What a fabulous testimony!
okay just got around to your new blog, I caught up and boy are you looking great pregnant! And I can't wait to see the progress on the babies room as you get things done. That is the most fun! I enjoyed my pregnancy SO much, it is so strange to not be pregnant anymore, you will be so thankful you treasured all those kicks and later hiccups. So happy for you!
