I've never been a fan of turnips...until now. :)
This week, our baby is the size of a turnip! The baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord (the lifeline to the placenta) is growing stronger and thicker. He/she weighs 5 ounces and is around 5 inches long from head to bottom. The baby's sweat glands are also starting to develop.
Not sure where this big belly is coming from, since the baby only weighs 5 ounces. ha! Each week, as I read what's going on inside of me, I find it amazing!!
Love,

I can't wait to see pictures of that cute little turnip! :)
I am so happy for you! Thank you for your comments as well, you will never know how much they mean. (HUGS)
That is so wonderful!!! Enjoy each and every minute of it!! Leslie
I've been reading already, too! Heck, mine's only the size of lentil bean this week and my belly is huge (I know my perspective of huge is going to change over the next few months.)! ha!
I love turnips!! and can not wait to knowif it is a she turnip or a he turnip!! hugs
It is easier to understand the size when compared to a real life tangible item like a TURNIP!! :) Praying for you and your turnip!
well you make me feel better by having a belly! There is a gal at my church due a month before me and I am SO much bigger than her. I get asked all the time "when are you due?" and I know they expect a much sooner month than October.
hahaha... I always said the big belly was for keeping the little baby safe. And I tried to ignore the sizes of food (why do they always compare the baby to food, isn't it a bit weird?!) that the baby was and picture her to be much bigger in my head to make myself feel better! LOL
*hugs*
