Happy St. Patty's Day and March Giveaway!!

Amelia made sure to wear her green today.

She was afraid that Mommy would pinch her if she didn't.

Silly girl.

She has started doing this after I dress her. Doesn't matter if it's a shirt or dress. It's coming up.

How cute are these shoes? I just realized when I took the picture that I have a pair of ballet flats just like these (minus the strap). I'm curious as to when shoes will start fitting her feet. These are 3-6 months. She will be 5 months old in a few days. Not sure why they make baby shoes so wide!?

We've had a busy week. Every time I would think "I'm going to go blog", something would come up before I got to my computer. So today, I blog while Amelia is napping.

My Mom surprised us with a visit over the weekend. It was so nice to have her here. Unfortunately, my Daddy wasn't able to join her...we missed you, Daddy! I kept Amelia up until she got here. I knew that Amelia would need some lovin' from her Granny before bedtime. :)

Amelia's face is cracking me up in this pic. I think she has the cutest personality already. :)

We've started reading to Amelia every night. It has become part of her bedtime routine and we love it.

Alex and I take turns. He reads to her one night, I read to her the next. I found a neat Bible story book with really cute illustrations. Very colorful. She just stares at the pages. It's so cute.

We went on our first "play date" yesterday. We met a few other Mommies at Chick-fil-a. Had some yummy chicken nuggets while the kiddos played on the indoor playground. That place was CRAZY!! It was a lot of fun though and I'm looking forward to our next play date!

I have a lot more to blog about, but I need to stop at some point or this post will be WAY TOO LONG! So I will end with my March giveaway!!

I found this cute platter at Pottery Barn awhile back.

I picked up two - one for me, one for you! :) It's melamine, so it's very light weight. I use it for goodies, tossed salad, grilled veggies...lots of different things.

I think it would even look cute in a bedroom/bathroom to hold random items or just sitting out by itself!

If you would like a chance to win this cute platter, just leave me a comment and let me know if you wore green for St. Patty's Day! :)

If you would like more than one chance to win, simply blog or tweet about this giveaway. Please leave me a separate comment for each entry. Make sure that you leave an email address or your blog address, so that I can reach you when you win.

Random.org will choose the winner on Friday morning.

Love to all,

I know what you mean about the shoes! Callyn is 5 months old and is still not fitting in most of the 0-3 shoes. Amelia looks precious in her green!

She's so gorgeous.

I just really want that cozy chair area in her room. Am I allowed to have chair envy? :) hee hee.

That platter would look cute in my bathroom.

My shirt had a stripe of green in it but no I was rushing too much this morning to do the green thing. My house is decorated...does that count?

Shoes are made wide for kids like mine!! Their feet are like blocks!!

Yes, I wore green today and so did Noah and Quinn. We'll also be sporting green (and gold) tomorrow as we support the Baylor Bears in the NCAA tournament! Go Bears!!

I just love pictures of her! She is adorable! Love her huge smile! I did not wear green but Westin did! Well, until he went tee tee all over it while I was changing his diaper. :)

I made sure I dressed my little girl in some green and then forgot to wear any myself. Since

Sweet Amelia, she is getting so big! I never used shoes much when my son was small, but I agree- they don't seem to make them to fit actual babies! i am ashamed to say I don't recall if I wore green yesterday, but I had my son in a green diaper and did make the traditional corned beef/cabbage, so that was something, at least :)

I did wear green yesterday! And I think it's funny you are wondering why they make baby shoes so wide, because I am wondering why they don't make them wide enough?! :) My 14 month old has some fat feet, and we sometimes have trouble finding shoes to fit her feet. :)

Jill, you don't know me but I found your blog through a friend of a friend and it was interesting especially because our girls are just like 5 days apart. Lily Joy was wearing green on St. Patty's day AND the same shoes as Amelia!! Amelia is so beautiful and is into the exact same things Lily is. It is fun to read about her because it is like reading about my daughter. Thanks for sharing! We both wore green on St. Patty's! Take care!
Jillian
(i will have to send you a pic sometime of Lily's green shoes and how they were falling off just like Amelia's)

Am I too late to enter for the giveaway??!! I HOPE NOT! I missed the last one. Me and my late self.

Amelia looks ADORABLE in these photos. SO cute. I am so in love with the reading photos. L never has or will never now let me read to her. She has always wanted to grab the book herself and shove it in her mouth or turn the pages on her own. Miss Independence!
