What's New...

I always love reading what the baby is doing each week. The email always compares the baby to the size of different fruits, so that's usually it's name for the week. This week, the baby is the size of an avacado. Another thing going on in there...he/she is growing toenails. Awwww...even toenail growth is sweet - when they're talking about our baby. The fetal doppler is one of the best gifts that Alex could have given me. We use it daily. I'm getting really good at finding the heartbeat. We recorded it to post on here, but I'm having problems with uploading it. As soon as I figure out the problem, I will post it. I'm really loving my pregnancy, now that I'm feeling good. Alex constantly tells me how pretty I am...he's the sweetest. He told me yesterday, that he can see why some men keep their wives pregnant. LOL Though I don't completely understand it, I'm happy to know that my husband still finds me attractive these days. ;)

I'm going to see my parents tomorrow. Seems like forever since I've seen them. Though I talk to my Mom on the phone (pretty much every day), I still miss her so much. There are days when I just need a hug from them both, but 6 hours is a long drive for a hug. For the next 3 days, I get all of the hugs I want. :)

I started a new book in my quiet time, this morning. It's Beth Moore's "Praying God's Word." Just from reading the introduction, I could already see certain strongholds that I've allowed to creep into my life. Though it's convicting, I want to break free from anything that I've allowed to be bigger than my God. I truly desire the mind of Christ in all areas of my life and unfortunately, it's a daily fight to have that.

I found a desk for our home office and I'm now needing to get that set up. I've worked on it a little, but get distracted easily. I'm still shopping for a cute chair to have in there. I don't want your typical office chair...those aren't very attractive. If you have any suggestions, send them my way.

I shopped for a new phone this weekend. I've decided in the area of cell phones, I'm the cheapest person on the planet. I can't believe what they want for a cell phone that can receive email! I think I've made my decision and will be going to the bank to take out a loan, soon. Okay, so it's not that expensive, but seriously. My current phone doesn't even take pictures, so you can see how the prices would be a shock to me. If you own the iphone, leave me a comment on how much you love it/hate it, because that's what I'm leaning towards.

I hope you guys have a great week!

Love,

I recently got a iphone and I LOVE it! Honestly I do not think I will ever go back to another phone.

Just this weekend I went an laid out by the pool and turned on my iphone to enjoy pandora radio. The GPS app has also come in handy on several occasions.

One word of advice...I got a refurbished iphone. It was half of the cost of a new one and looks just as good.

I know you look adorable. It is soooo nice and important to get the sweet comments from your hubby when you're expecting. I too need a phone that will receive email. I hate to even start shopping b/c of the prices. Whew.....

I LOVE my iPhone. I have the older version from about a year and half ago, before the 3G came out. I think it's just slower. But it's come in handy for so many things. Every time we go on a trip we use the google maps feature a lot. I get the weather, twitter, facebook, even fandango movie tickets on it. It's a great gadget.

I know that site you're talking about, with the avacado! And hey, toenails are exciting stuff!!!

Hi Jill! I don't have an iPhone, but my husband does and it is great! I think that will be my next phone so I can also use it as my iPod.

Phones are so expensive these days. I got my iPhone when they first came out and couldn't believe how much money I spent, but I will say it came in SO HANDY during those weeks after L was born. It was my only connection to the world. I could read blogs, email and facebook while nursing. Love it.
And speaking of, please email me if you have any questions at all about nursing. It is so awesome, I am so glad I stuck it out.
Have fun at your parents'!
*hugs*

That sounds like a good study. I love Beth Moore. I'll have to check it out when I'm ready for a new one.

Are both of y'all going? Need me to do anything? Get mail/feed dog? My kids would be happy to go play with him every day :0) Have you seen the little terrier puppy down the street? What a sight it would be to put him with Diesel! ha!
I'll be in the market for a new phone too... and I just want a phone with a keyboard. I don't want internet, but it seems like they may be forcing you into a data plan now. Seems in order to get a rebate, you have to have a contract with a data plan... and I've had the cheapest minute plan you can have for years... it's all I need. I just hate texting on my cheap phone.
Love your new blog!
(and thanks again for the cupcakes... they are of course, gone!)

I was totally a "I need a phone that can call people" type of girl....but I got an Iphone and I love it. I use the GPS app A LOT!!

Where did you sign up to get an email about the baby's progress? I'd love that!!

My hubby needs a new phone- I'm liking the comments left by people who have it themselves.

Anyway, avocados are delicious so I love the nickname of the week!

THE IPHONE CHANGED MY LIFE. Just kididng but seriously, its amazing, from the GPS, to all the apps you can put on it (twitter, pandora, facebook) all the way to simply checking your mail. I love mine!
I also love Praying God's Word. I use the prayer book often

Love, love, love my iPhone. Wait- can I tell you that I LOVE my iPhone? HA! While it may be a bit more expensive, it is absolutely worth it if you are a technology gal. The various apps are great, and I also love texting (I bought the unlimited texting plan). Also, if your hubby later decides to get an iPhone, you can share the data plan with him and not have to pay extra money.

Overall, a great investment if you aren't too hard on your phone.

If you are already an AT&T user, make sure you are available for an upgrade because then the iPhone is much, much cheaper. I'd also like to recommend a hard case instead of the rubbery ones. I've heard those stretch very easily and have to be replaced often.

Email me if you have any additional questions. As you can see, I have lots to say about iPhones, and more specifically, Apple products!

you are so funny Jill! i see why you are so shocked with cell prices... i think iphones are one of the most expensive cells out there now days, it's a huge jump to go from a basic phone to an iphone, pure luxury! and anyone can get so used to it, if you get it i'm sure you will love it!
i always had the regular nokia free cell and just last month i decided to switch to something better or atleast with a keyboard for when i text, etc... it's the "Samsung A767 Propel" i didn't get the internet because i just didn't want my bill to go up so much but i have a nice calendar, texting, camera, music....just the basics for now. i really like it and is not as pricy as the iphone. Good luck on finding what you want:) Pleae tell your mom i say hi!
P.S. i have a friend that did a pic every month holding the fruit that the baby's sized supposed to be that month, it was cute to see her blog everymonth with the different fruits.

Wow, reading all your comments here I can see i am out of the loop by not having an iphone! You will choose wisely, I'm sure. I'm looking for a good devotional book, would you reccomend that book by Beth Moore or do you have a favorite that you would reccomend?

I have the LG VU (we call it our poorman's iphone). It has a touch screen and you can watch TV on it. It does not have all the bells and whistles that the iphone has, of course.

Good luck with your purchase. It is a tough decision.

They are going on sale since the new ones are coming out. I'm competiting with you for the cheapest cell phone lady. Yes, I don't even text or do email on mine. I'd love to be able to have my calendar on one. I'd love that and wouldn't feel like I was lost all day.
I hope you have a great visit with your mom. I'm glad that you're feeling well.
