You Give Me Fever...

I haven't had the time to sit down and blog over the past few days. Amelia started running fever a couple of days ago and was just pitiful.

I feel so helpless when she's sick. I called the doc and her nurse said that if she stopped eating and having wet diapers, I would need to bring her in. At that point, she had just had her afternoon bottle and just started feeling warm. Of course, the later in the day it got, she stopped eating and her fever rose to almost 104. The doc's office was closed at that point. This is only the second time that she's ever run fever, but Tylenol doesn't do anything for it. I sent Alex to the store to try and find some ibuprofen. Three stores later, he came home with 6 bottles of medicine. 3 bottles of Tylenol infant drops and 3 bottles of ibuprofen drops. He said that it took 3 stores for him to find it and he wanted to make sure that we didn't run out again. (LOL)

Amelia spent most of her time on top of one of us or in our bed. I didn't want to put her in her crib, since she was feeling so bad. Daddy even let her have control of the remote.

Thankfully, her fever broke the next morning. She still isn't eating really well, but I'm sure it will just take a few days for her to be back to 100%.

I'll be back to my regular blogging-self when my baby is back to her regular happy-self. :)

Love to all,

Poor little pumpkin! It stinks when they are sick. I'm glad she's on the mend. Hang in there- sounds like she knows just what to do to get that remote control. HA! Love it!

Bless her sweet little heart. Just look at those red, feverish cheeks! She is just as cute as can be...even when she's sick. I know seeing her like this just broke her mama's heart. I'm glad she's feeling better.
