Our weekend flew by!
We had Alex's little sis with us over the weekend.
Amelia just follows her around the entire time.
She loves her "Apey."
April did all sorts of stuff with them.
One of Amelia's faves - sidewalk chalk!
I always take the girls' pic on Sunday mornings.
Sydney could not be still this morning...she was all smiles though!
We had a joint service with All Points Church this morning.
It was a wonderful service.
We're sending 6 people from JC and AP
to Costa Rica to minister to the Cabecar Church.
Alex is one of the six.
I found myself crying as I prayed over him this morning.
I realized I had a lot of fear about him going on this trip.
Fear is something I have to fight on a regular basis.
Fear of something bad happening to the ones I love.
My brother-in-law's prayer for the mission team
was exactly what I needed to hear.
My fear is gone and I'm just going to quote
2 Timothy 1:7 a lot while Alex is away. :)
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity,
but of power, love, and self-discipline."
2 Timothy 1:7
My Grandma brought Amelia several puzzles to church this morning.
She put together at least three of them this afternoon.
She looked at Alex while putting the parrot puzzle together and said,
"Daddy, this puzzle is discouraging, it has a lot of pieces!"
Alex pulled these out of his bag today.
He forgot to give them to me last week.
He sat next to one of the VP's of this company on a business trip.
After talking she gave him some of their products to give me.
I already love the lip therapy and I'm so excited to use the eye gel.
I always have dark circles under my eyes and I'm hoping this helps! (LOL)
I love this baby.
She sat down and played the princess piano in her diaper.
I couldn't stop laughing but she wouldn't crack a smile.
She can be so serious much of the time.
This happened.
She crawled up in bed with me and fell asleep on my shoulder.
She hasn't slept in her room since my surgery.
She wants to sleep on a cot next to my bed.
It's going to be a fight getting her to go back to her room.
Not a fight I'm willing to have right now. :)
Tomorrow is the first day that I'll care for the girls alone.
I'm ready!
Love to all,

Sounds like you are recovering nicely! I'm so glad you are enjoying the girls and you had some help!
Fear is something that I fight on a daily basis, too. And it's only gotten worse since I've had children!!! Love that verse. Praying for you while he's away.
I'm so glad you're recovering well and getting back to your normal routine. I'm also thankful that you've had so much help to make that possible. You're doing so great!
I can so relate to the battle with fear. I'm praying for you and your time apart from Alex. I know that's not fun, but I pray that the time would fly by and that God would protect your family and his team. Love you lots!!
