The Thursday Before The Friday...

Amelia keeps asking me, "is today the Thursday before the Friday that Daddy comes home?"

Yes, child.  Praise Him!  Daddy is coming home tomorrow!

I'm not going to lie.  This has been the longest week of my life for so many reasons.  I didn't say worst...just LONG and at times difficult.

I'm ready for my man to be home.
I'm ready for this chronic back pain to go away forever.
I'm ready for my child to go #2 in the potty.
I'm ready for those 70* temps to come back.
I'm ready for my baby to take naps again.
I'm ready for this menopause to hit the road.

So there's that.

I like to add some pictures to the blog as the team sends them to me.  It makes me happy to see their faces.

This was taken this morning before Pryce and Nick were going to preach to the elderly.

Alex sent me this picture last night.
I still can't get over how beautiful it is there.

Alex and Pryce.
I love these guys.

I started my day off with a cup of black coffee.
This rarely happens, there's usually cream involved,
but this was an all black coffee kind of day.

While sipping on her organic milk, because that's how she rolls,
Amelia started her day with an episode of the magic school bus.
It detailed the digestive system.
This is just another desperate measure I'm taking
to get my child to go #2 on the potty.
Explaining where the food goes and what happens to it.

Her response to the video went like this:

And then she goes and hides and poops in her panties.

So there's that.

I gave Sydney syrup with waffles this morning.
I'm fairly certain I'm her favorite person as of now.
Until someone else comes along and offers her something better.

We had to run by Target this afternoon.
To pick up a fanny pack to go with Amelia's sun-visor.

We had Jimmy's Serious Sandwiches for dinner.
They have a drive-thru now.
Made my day.

Our potty camp project for today was an art project for Daddy.

I have no doubt He'll love their works of art.

And Amelia also took the time to write a letter to the birds
who keep taking our strawberries.

It was sort of rude and very stern
but sometimes that's the only way to get through to a bird.

Love to all,

Amelia cracks me up! Oh, my goodness. The complaint in the previous post about the princess panties is priceless. I would do the same thing you're doing - throw those nasty things out!!! She'll get it eventually. She may not have any panties left her drawer, but she'll get it! ;)
